Nioh. 9/10. Got this on PS Plus a while ago and decided to fire it up just spontaneously. What a pleasant surprise! I loved the Soulsborne games but Nioh had never appealed to me for some reason, I guess because I thought it was a knock-off basically. Far from being derivative, Nioh builds on what makes the Soulsborne games great in really interesting and clever ways, and I found myself playing it obsessively. I've heard Nioh 2 is even better, and that's definitely now on my 'to play' list! Uncharted: The Lost Legacy. 7/10. Nothing new but the Uncharted formula was pretty much perfected in Thief's End anyway. The two lead characters are great and I appreciated the very high production values. It's also substantial enough to feel like a fully-fledged game, rather than DLC, and I'd recommend it for any fans of the Uncharted series for sure. Resident Evil 3: Remake. 7/10. This was definitely wayyyy too short. It felt more like an add-on for the (outstanding!) RE2 remake but I still really enjoyed it. Capcom is on to a winner with these remakes and I hope the RE4 remake materialises sometimes soon. |
