Kyoto is a horrible place imo. There are nice temples (even fantastic) of course but the overall feel of the place (if you are sensitive to such things) is just completely off, especially in Japanese. The locals are famous for being cold and heartless in Japan, and I can't say I blame them really for what their city's been turned into. There are lovely temples but so much of it is concreted and filled with McDonalds etc (if you research the central train station it will give you much of an idea of how wrong things have been). One night in Nara is worth a thousand in Kyoto for me. Edited by kimchibaka at 05:28:10 12-05-2017 |
