This. I've had a few passable experiences, but if I'm going somewhere it's always 3DS for me.

I don't play games on the iPhone at all anymore. I deleted them all; if I'm on a train I'll read something on my kindle app.

I realise I might be in the minority but I'm not interested in mobile (phone) gaming at all. There must be others that moved towards it then understood what a compromised experience it was, and moved away again.

I always make a point of saying that mobile phones have eaten into the handheld market and I'm sure they have. But Microsoft did an about turn concerning the Xbox being a media device, realising most people just wanted to play games, with smart TVs taking up the strain of handling media concerns.

I think it will be the same with mobile gaming as people realise there is a significant market for mobile gamers that want a deeper experience with a proper control method.

There will always be a market for a decent handheld like this that phones have so far failed to capture; whether Nintendo can dominate that space is another matter.
