Wasn't too sure about the graphics for Bubble Bobble 4 Friends, but found a gameplay video and it actually looks okay in motion:

So yeah just the price. Maybe it'd be an easy Christmas gift request from my parents as at least they'd recognise the brand from the C64 version rather than some other random game I'd want.
