Well, perhaps, but you have to ask why people enjoy it too, surely. 'Dig up chest' is the objective for one type, but excludes numerous possibilities intrinsic to that quest and the wider context, let alone chaining between different activities.

As I said, not for everyone, but that statement has a flipside also.
