Ok. Guess I'll open up the portal (again) and sail there, again. Should add, when I boot up the game and go into the Quest menu, there's a message saying "You do not have any Tall Tale Checkpoints".

It's all very unintuitive. Almost like they've tacked a single player onto what was just intended to be a live multiplayer service...
