If you do decide to build one yourself, this video is very useful. It shows you how easy it is to do as long as you don't mind fiddling around in tiny spaces.

This website is very good as it recommends which parts you want for whatever budget you have.

Also this is worth a look.

In terms of prices, Amazon are normally very good, or try places like Aria or Scan.
