    I doubt they will be able to retain the audience now that they have started to diverge how they deliver parts of the universe story. Especially via a new streaming service that arguably doesn't present great value if you don't have kids. Anecdotally I know a number of people who have actively refused to buy in the Disney+, and if the films stop making sense if you haven't kept up, then you lose a fair sized chunk of your audience.

    It will only be worse if they drag all of the Fox baggage into the MCU. I am one of those with the concern that X men is too much anyway - if everyone is super, then no-one is.

    I sound really down on the whole thing, which isn't my intention. I do think the achievement so far is incredible, but I also think there is some potential overreach in phase 4 that Marvel need to manage carefully if they don't want to alienate their audience.
