I'm glad I'm not the only one who was confused by that penultimate scene. I like the MCU I think they consistently make 7/10 movies, some dip to a 6, others rise to an 8. This one really felt like it was stretching the formula to breaking point. The middle hour of the film is really strong, but as soon as the third act rolled around I actually felt disappointed that the film was abandoning the character dynamics for a big finale. And then the finale wasn't even that big. I think repeating the Loki dynamic with the big bad could work, but not when we really don't know anything about said villain. The Loki interrogation in Avengers works because we know who Loki is, less so with shadowy Russian general who has spoken once in the entire film up to that point.

I know Marvel fiddle with their movies tons, usually it's fairly seamless but in this you could really feel the reshoots and tinkering. Everything to do with Taskmaster felt like it had been retooled in the edit.

Also funny that Natasha feels sidelined in her own movie. Her sister and family just eating up all the attention.
