No, we don't. We have 1.8 million people who are fully aware we need to interact with the US, regardless of who is at the helm, but that do not want to give him the pomp and circumstance he desperately craves, the need to want to be seen as a guest of the Queen.

There's a massive difference, and it's completely disingenuous to claim otherwise, totally removing your argument about the EU.
