I suspect that story is tripping over itself and fucking it up.

On Tuesday, Trump had the Presidential Debate with Biden, with Hope Hicks in attendance and on duty in assistance (travelling with them as part of the entourage).

On Wednesday Trump held a rally in Duluth, Minnesota. Hope Hicks was in their entourage and felt ill during the event, so they separated her on the Air Force One flight back.

On Thursday Hope Hicks tested positive for Covid-19.

Trump then attended a fundraiser in Bedminster, New Jersey. While several aides cancelled their attendance due to being in close proximity to Hope Hicks, Trump instead went ahead with the event.

Trump and Melania took a test that evening, which turned out positive in the early hours of Friday.
