    Imagine, for example, someone who fights for better redistribution of wealth and racial equality, but is also an homophobe. Or someone who believes in queer rights, but also in the Spencer theory that rich people are rich because they deserve it (okay, this would be harder to find). And I'm sure there are tons of doctors out there who may be great people overall but still advocate against abortion.

    While I draw the line at telling people to vote for Trump, it's usually never as easy as saying that someone is just good or bad. I guess it depends on whether you believe that their flaws are less or more important than their virtues.
    JK Rowling is pretty much the definition of this. She's left wing, opposed Brexit, has set up charities to help women and combat social inequality, but because she, in essence, thinks being transgender doesn't make you a "real" woman, she's equated with Hitler.
