I suppose this thread will do. I have moved into a furnished flat a TV (Bravia KLV-32T400A) is mounted to the wall and that's how it will be until I buy a 4K tv over Christmas. My previous gaming screen (1080p Dell monitor) is now my work monitor. Quite happy with the TV and understand that it is 720p but my question is, should I set my PS4 to 720p or choose 'automatic' in the settings where it sets it to 1080p... automatically. What is likely to look better? Is it receiving 1080p and downscaling to 720p or upscaling to 1080p? Unless my eyes are tricking me - there is definitely a difference - I just can't tell which looks better. Not all that clued up. The specs state for the tv state: Video Signal 480i, 576i, 480p, 576p, 1080i, 720p, 1080p (HDMI™ only)' I understand that it is capable of receiving 1080p, not displaying it? What's the point of receiving it then? Edited by Ziz0u at 20:47:00 09-09-2017 |
