I am a bit concerned about the performance related stories, my machine consists of a RTX 3070 and a overclocked i10500 proccesor (and 16 high frequency RAM). Intended to play this at 1440p beyond 60 fps.

Was hoping i could enjoy framerates between 90-120 with G-Sync enabled but after watching a video I see extreme drops to 30 (due to effects). On the (base) PS4 I am currently at 75% progress on the game (without dlc) and want to switch to PC. I have been irritated with framerate issues on the base ps4 during many moments after the first two levels (played on performance mode.

Any of you could elaborate how bad it is on PC without forcing V-sync and 60 fps? Worst case I can play this locked to 60 probably with 1440p but resolution is not the main reason I want to switch to PC.
