You need to indicate the country where the vehicle is registered if you're abroad. This can be on your licence plate or this can be a sticker.

There is the GB in the licence plate but according to that article the thing is that from September UK plates will no longer have GB but UK on them. So, if you want to drive in Europe you'll need to get new plates or have a UK sticker on your car.
