For context a large number of the musicians, singers, TV and movie stars, CEOs and religious leaders have often been drug-addled, monomaniacal, cradle-robbing, scandal-dodging self-deluded monsters shielded from reality and justice by an army of Ray Donovans and an industry with deep pockets and no scruples.

GE takes things to an extreme, and superheroes require super-extremes. The actual plot of the TV is just miles better than the comic. The adage that power corrupts is as apt as ever.
