This is going to be a fairly unpopular view on one of gamings most beloved companies but - I HATE Nintendo! Yes hate is a very strong word, but every thing is relative. I love both my mother and Star Wars, not in equal measure. In turn I hate cruelty to animals and Nintendo, but again, not in equal measure. The reasons for my hatred towards them are many, but to name a few: 1: Their business practices are laughable. Given enough darts any blindman can hit bullseye, as can Nintendo create a success given enough chances. 2: The games they publish are often rinse & repeat and lack any real ambition. 3: They have this whole "we're far above all the rest" mentality that is cemented when they have a small, but very vocal, portion of their audience willing to defend them to the death. .... I could go on all day, but I think you all get the idea. I'd love to hear other peoples opinions on this and create some great debates over some of my issues. |
