Running non native resolutions on my 1920x1080 monitor looks crap.
In my mind right now a PS4 Pro has the benefit to run at every resolution the game wants and the graphics will still be looking good because of up scaling while on a PC you have to run at your monitors native resolution.

I've tried my graphics card up scaling software but it was very underwhelming.

So I am wondering how this all works when I buy a 4K monitor.
For example a game running somewhere between Full HD and 4K on a Playstation Pro will be up scaled to 4K by the Playstation Pro to the 4K TV. (and even the TV has the ability for up scaling)

What if I want to run a game at the same resolution on my PC and a 4K monitor?

    - Is this even possible without the game looking like crap?
    - Because 4K is exactly twice the resolution as Full HD can I at least run the game at Full HD without it looking like crap? (rendering every pixels exactly 4 times should give a good picture the same as on a native Full HD monitor right?)

    Thanks in advance
