Say what you like about GAF, shit like the above would not fly there and that's why it will be missed. The only place I know (knew) on the net that actually gave a shit about shutting down idiots, racists and sexists. Baseless claims (again, see above) would be immediately met with a request for evidence and if it wasn't forthcoming, there were actually consequences.

As Grizzleboy's eloquent post describes, the site was a safe haven for a lot of people and anyone dancing about the site's demise due to some real or imagined animosity towards the site's owners needs to think for a minute about the literally thousands of users who were good people.
