I probably wouldn't rate this as high if it wasn't part of Game Pass (and an easy pick up). Fun little bullet-hell-come-pinball game with a curious story and a great art style. I recommend it to anyone who can just jump in like I did. 7/10

    #28 The Messenger: Picnic Panic
A couple of extra levels added onto an already great game for free? I'm not complaining.

    #29 Gorogoa
This game reminds me of the board game Dixit. It's a puzzle game comprised of weird abstract art that you can shuffle around a 4 x 4 board to recombine panels of images. Puzzles could be a little "keep trying until you accidentally figure it out" but I enjoyed it all the same. There's nothing else really like it, either. 7/10

    #30 Untitled Goose Game
I've been exited about this since trailer 1. My only problem with this game is that I want more of it. 8/10

#31 The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening
Bit of a nostalgia trip for me on this. I don't think I'd ever actually completed the original game boy version now that I've gotten through this one.

I'll always remember it fondly, and it remains a favourite, but the puzzle logic in this varies wildy between inscrutible nonsense and done-in-a-second simplicity.

Couldn't give a toss about the dungeon builder addition and the performance is so bizzarely on and off. Not Nintendo's best work on a remaster/remake but I'll still give it 7/10.

    #32 Super Mario Maker 2
I want one of these for every major SNES classic. Especially after the letdown of the above dungeon builder. 10/10

    #33 Sayonara Wild Hearts
This was a bit of a goofy experience to play on the bus to work. Think Rez meets pop music and shōjo manga. 7/10

    #34 Gears 5
More of the same, really. It's not really a complaint - I do like the Gears formula - but the places where the Coalition have tried to innovate are the weaker parts of this experience. It's painfully clear the open world skiff segments were designed to be combat arenas (the skiff has a turret, just no gun, what?).

I like the single focus of the narrative aiming at Kait, but seeing the reemergence of the "total end of humanity" story taking precedence over the uneasy balance we saw in Gears 4 sort of diminishes the impact somewhat.

Escape is a great addition, however, as a quicker alternative to Hoard. 7/10
