    The issue here, as always, is judging just where the self-serving embellishments and lies end and where the actual kernel of truth is.

    That being said, the way he's framed the internal view of the 'Hancock pledge', i.e. the target to test 100,000 odd people a day by x date, definitely has the ring of truth to it. Was an utterly farcical thing to do, and the idea that Hancock was doing 'whatever' he could to make sure the target was hit seems to chime with that ludicrous moment, last year, when they miraculously tested just enough people the day before the target in order to ensure they met it.
