Ep 6 did the same thing but there could possibly be an explanation where the Emperor was mindcontrolling some of them...
Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the film overall, just these small things that bugged me...
Though yeah, the ewoks were great!
I don't think it's that they became more vulnerable, more that Lando and Chewie were able to gather a huge fleet which decimated the First Order. They simply weren't expecting the people of the universe to gather against them. Probably one of the messages the film was trying to convey. |
