In Ep7 whilst the First Order were obviously a power to be reckoned with, until they destroyed the New republic home world/fleet with Starkiller base, they were still the underdogs. In Ep8 we're kinda dealing the immediate aftermath of the events in Ep7; the universe is still reeling from the New Republic's main fleet from being wiped out. There wasn't a rebel fleet to help out in Ep8, because it didn't exist - because it didn't need to at that time. In Ep9, well, dramatic effect innit. After all, this is meant to be entertainment. What would Rocky be if he knocked out Apollo in the first round? |
