Using the XM3s wired means there’s no noise cancellation enabled so they ain’t gonna be great.

I know this as I have a pair, they also stupidly don’t have the mic available when wired, it’s only available when used by Bluetooth meaning you need an inline mic cable.

If your TV has Bluetooth try pairing them to it and they’ll have cancellation available.
