Has coil whine been widely reported or something? That would drive me absolutely nuts. Had to return a Dell XPS a few years ago because of it. Never touching an XPS again.

Big shame it's not as silent as Digital Foundry and the rest of the internet has claimed. I have very sensitive hearing when it comes to this sort of thing.

I am super sensitive to coil whine. It literally gives me headaches,so i was concerned that the ps5 had it. But i turned it on there is no coil whine at all. I am super happy that she is whisper quiet. I can put my ear right by the ps5 and silence. It all boils down to luck. Luck if you get a ps5 and luck if you don't have coil whine.
