@Gregolution I developed really nasty carpal tunnel syndrome last gen- partly caused from being a guitarist, but mostly from playing PS4 - specifically the controller being a bad fit for me. I ended up using a converter to play with an Xbox elite controller, as I found that mapping paddles to l3 and r3 nipped all the pain in the bud, as games that relied on them lots were hammering my hands. As someone else suggested, switching vibration off helps hugely too. I’ve been the same with the PS5- the pain came back almost immediately, less so with haptics and trigger tricks switched off, but it is still there. The adaptive triggers on PS5 are particular pain-inducing for me, annoyingly, so I had to switch those off entirely as soon as I’d finished Astro. Thankfully I also have a Series X so will play that for the most part - just hoping that soon there’s an adaptor that works for Xbox controllers on PS5 games / a paddle add on for the dual sense.
