Heh, yeah I'm pretty much constantly tearing down and remaking areas of the island. The frame rate is awful, in one of the updates they 'fixed' the huge amounts of pop-in by slowing the game down. I used the in-game path system for a while but agree it's too rigid. I ended up tearing them all out and making my own, which I like a whole lot better. I think I'm on my 3rd or 4th iteration of those now. The Custom Designs tool is fantastic, I can easily spend a couple of hours at a time just faffing around with it. Lately I've become a fan of placing trees on diagonal cliff edges, so have been going around the island putting them everywhere. |
