Had a lot of fun last night on Series X. Did what most do and had a flight over my home town first. Navigated from an airport 30 miles away just by following major roads and rivers which was brilliant. Then headed off to Newcastle for a buzz about. Some of the detail is amazing but the Tyne bridge is somehow under the water and St James Park is completely flat. Second flight I went to my favourite ski resort in the Swiss alps. Started at the town at the bottom of the valley, flew up to the resort following the train tracks and then continued up the mountain to the summit. Managed to land on the Lauberhorn (not on purpose, I just didn't have enough power to get over the top) so then turned around, took off again, and followed the downhill run perfectly just from memory. Was grinning like an idiot. Started the training which covers the basics well, but so far just enjoying sightseeing. The UI is horrendous at times but there is a lot to cram in, and i'll hook up a mouse later to do some menu diving. |
