Playing on Series S and it’s one part the most impressive piece of software I’ve seen, two parts buggy and obtuse mess. I spent some time flying around the Scottish highlands and hoped it would be possible to bring up a full-size map or something so I could get my bearings but there wasn’t. Pushing the L stick to bring up the menu ended up making it impossible to control the plane again even when I closed the menu, and not having the default option to speed up the sim negates much of the point of the game. I did try mapping speeding up and slowing down the same to LB / RB, which aren’t really used, but it didn’t work even though it said they were mapped. Great and unique experience, but the console version is a mess. It would have been more sensible to create a scaled down and simplified UX version of it for the console audience, rather than clinking replicate PC. |
