I'm still waiting for 6 to come out on PC so I can complete the main games, but I'd agree with this.

Playing Zero and then going through the series is kinda like playing a Metroid game - you start of experiencing something at the absolute peak of its powers, then all the upgrades they spent 20 years working on are taken away as they slowly have to rebuild them.

Saying that; if you love Zero you'll at the very least like even the low points of the series (which imo aren't even that low, Zero is just that good).
