Recommend looking up Gitest Pandya on Twitter (he runs BoxOfficeGuru). It could have longer legs than TLJ, and the date it's been released apparently helps as school's have emptied out - but at the same time, it could just follow the same trajectory as TLJ and scrape past a billion. It's interesting to hear about Star Wars fatigue - and I think people have a point. Just makes me wonder how the MCU have avoided it, whilst producing so many more movies in such a short time frame (what ten years)? Sure, they vary in theme - Thor Ragnorok was a comedy, Ant Man's a heist movie, etc... but they don't differ that much. |
