My Series X is pretty much useless at the moment. Switched from Instant On to Energy Saving and immediately my controller started to disconnect every few seconds.

Tried rebooting the console, re-pairing the controller, removing the battery pack and reinserting it, even joined the beta (which does a clean install of the OS) as I read that some people have controller connection issues and it was rumoured to be fixed in the beta. Nothing worked. Tried my new shock blue controller with rechargeable batteries in and that has the same issue. No controller firmware updates available.

The closest I managed to get was booting the console with a controller connected via cable. I managed to get a few minutes of usage before it started to disconnect again.

There’s a huge thread on the Microsoft forum of people who are experiencing controller disconnections and MS have said they’re aware of it, but until they do something I can’t really use my Series X unless I sit right in front of the TV or have a huge cable trailing across the room.

    Pretty frustrating.
