    Not need to worry what HDMI version your TV is (probably 1.4). The series X will downscale to 1080p no problem and you’ll benefit from the games themselves running at an higher internal res so they’ll still look cleaner than native 1080p games.

    Your receiver is HDMI 2.0a so will pass through 4K @ 60fps or 1080p @ 120fps and will pass through HDR.
    If you get a new TV and want the full suite of new HDMI 2.1 features like 4k120fps you’ll need to update it unfortunately. Or use eARC to connect it to the TV and lose the HDMI switching and may have to deal with lip sync issues but it can work ok with a bit of patience and luck.
