I think it's a combination of the console and TV to be honest. My LG CX switches modes pretty instantly in fairness when using the Series X, but the older Panasonic TV in the living room takes a fair old while.

Obviously if your PS5 is switching a lot quicker then it's tempting to rule out the TV, but the Xbox shouldn't be taking a few seconds either. Probably something about the way the Xbox switches that delays the change over on your TV.
