    Not being able to do work independently is a massive issue, especially in deprived areas where parents may not be willing or even able to help.

    Younger people need and want that structure in their lives, even if they don't 'like' school.

    But, going to college and potentially dying definitely outweighs that. Parents most definitely need to step up, as teachers are limited in what they can really do. It's a bit of a catch-22 really.
