UK has a class system because we never had a revolution. In the USA status is tied to how much money you earn. Teachers for example aren't well regarded as they are other countries because they don't command a large salary.

UK has self-deprecation humour less so in the USA, they don't really like thier faults joked about. Plenty of citizens there are nationalistic. If you're critical of the USA then you're not a patriot. You can still be a patriot and critical of your country.

Nothing wrong with patriotism, if the people in charge actually campaign and vote for the best interests of the people. Being proud to be called British okay but if you're humping flags and clapping, whilst activley voting against the best interests of the people you serve then that isn't patriotism. It's plastic. These Tory politicians really need to be judged on thier actions and voting records rather than thier big flags and pictures of the queen. So no the NHS wouldn't have been created under this government.

Back to covid the USA finally exported some vaccines to Canada and Mexico. So that's good. Maybe the UK- AZ production can to do the same for the EU.
