That's not true, you just need to spam the roll button to get near it, then it switches to melee attacks, then you can just twat it for a bit until it does the fire-sick attack, then you run away and start again. I rarely have trouble with the Spider, and i'm fairly terrible at this game.

Edit : meaning if I can do it anyone can, as opposed to 'ha you must be shit'
