The 4k versions of LotR are better than older HD remasters, imho. They added a greenish filter to the HD trilogy which wasn't there in the original DVD release. Really quite distracting. For the 4k films they've pretty much returned the colour balance back to what it was, which I'm actually happier about than the quality of the picture resolution
