Espanyol opened their new stadium with a 3-0 win against Liverpool this evening.

I've always seen them as a Spanish Everton. Went to watch their home derby game v Barca last season (ironically on the evening of our home derby defeat with Cahill's sending off), and realised (a) the Olympic Stadium was awful for football, they must have been desperate to move; and (b) they suffer even more at the hands of their neighbours, with the Barca fans getting the match halted briefly as they rained a shower of flares into the Espanyol fans sat below them, and then Barca cheated and dived to win in the last minute via the dodgiest penalty you'll ever see awarded.

Did you freeze your balls off? If its in any way windy, you really feel it, irrespective of where you're seated. Always hated that stadium.

    And Eto'o didn't dive.
