    On XBox if you bring up the info panel, it indicates what type of version is installed:
    XBox One - self explanatory
    Gen9 - dedicated Series X/S version, requires Velocity Drive
    Gen9 aware - XBox One version that takes advantage of Series X/S & will run off external drives
    Some gen9 aware games are not identified by the X/S logo while some are eg Chronos: Before the Ashes is gen9 aware with no indication while We Happy Few is Gen 9 aware with the appropriate logo

    Why Sparkle 2 needs to be on the velocity drive escapes me

    Also strange that some DLC, even if only a 10Mb unlock key has to be stored on the velocity drive seems strange - it make house keeping a bit messy with some of the unlock keys on external drive and others on velocity drive; if you have say 50 of the 10Mb unlock keys thats nearly half a gig
