I saw some ancient threads on this, but nothing vaguely recent.

It's for elderly parents, 1080p is fine, price range of about Ł150-Ł200.

They've had a Humax PVR for what seems like decades, it barely works anymore.

The most cursory glance at Amazon seems to reveal loads of very poorly received, flawed buggy boxes.

I'm completely out of the loop, I don't even have terrestrial setup, all streaming and hooky downloads these days.
