Is anyone really surprised with this though considering Konami's past form?
I've gone back to Football Manager after a few years out and it's depth and immersion is phenomenal.
PES2021 was too broken despite a few good things and Fifa 21 was arcadey, shallow nonsense. There's a bit in Wesley's preview of Fifa 22 where he says something about all his players doing their best Beckham impression. That's exactly the problem as there's no individuality about it.
PES 2022 should have been building on what it had but again they shoot themselves in the arse.
