It's busy with traffic up here, Covid or not. Really picked up tourist-wise in the last couple of weeks. As Vortex says, the single track NW can be stunning or an absolute nightmare depending on who's about (mix of family, motorhomes/caravans, bikers and performance hires) and the notorious A9 to Wick is an experience at the best of times. If anything, out west towards Kyle/Skye seems a tad quieter, road almost deserted on Saturday past (although slightly wet), and perhaps a good place to start. |
