Think I'm starting to go off this, and I think it'll only be a short term success.

The type of games you'd play on it probably aren't suited to tiny controls and screen. For example, Control is a frantic, fast game, not ideal for Steam Deck surely.

The thing about Switch is its games are often made for portable. They are suited for that. Same with Gameboy and GameGear.

Steam Deck is also not portable enough to be taken out the house. I bet 95% of us just play these things in the house most of the time anyway. So why not just get a good gaming laptop?

I think it'll obviously sell well but die off rather quickly.
I played Control recently via Game pass streaming on my Note 9. It worked brilliantly with a small screen. So long as you've got decent controls, it's fine.
