They grow up and will always be a huge part of your life, but there is another side as well. They become adults, you get freedoms back, and the kids are also, hopefully, your friends. I'd hate to think I wouldn't have those freedoms again until I was say, 60 or 70. That said, nothing wrong with having kids later in life if that's what you decide, or what circumstances dictate. To each their own. I'm just glad I'm already a number of years into the parenting journey at my age. |
