I know someone who did adopt and a couple trying to adopt. It's a really tough process to go through. They pretty much try to break you and ask some very difficult questions. Also once you've adopted you could be taking on any number of behaviour problems and trauma that you might not be able to really support. It's a really awesome thing to do though and I have a lot of respect for people who do it for the right reasons. |
