@INSOMANiAC Thanks for the additional info. It does sound like a good solution overall, albeit perhaps without recoil.

I knew there was a white border from the couple of YouTube videos I'd watched, but I hadn't appreciated it actually cut into the screen (I though it was round the screen). That's good to know, though, yeah, a bit off putting.

I think the appeal of accurately being able to play the proper arcade versions of so many light gun games is just too appealing. Might have to take the plunge
