I quite like the reviews on EG but overall the content does feel like its getting a bit thin. Unless I’m mistaken, I remember there being more features in the past. More generally magazine-y.

Admittedly I tend to read reviews after completing games rather than before getting them so I’m probably not a useful user for the metrics. Usually word of mouth and forum chat is what influences the actual purchase.

I've pretty much ignored the reviews after Sensible Soccer debacle. Always trusted the forum hivemind more.

The articles these days seem to be worrying about how many pixels there are if you pause a game and zoom in on a bit of the background and crap like "They Should Make a Game About Scraping the Bottom of the Barrel".
