Been eyeing up a new TV, but had a few questions. Mainly how big a deal is HDMI 2.1/120Hz?

I'm eyeing up the Sony XH900 and have heard about the issues related to 120Hz. However, do you need an FPS of 120 to make the most of that? Is it that huge a difference? I'm imagining 60Hz with some VRR would be plenty good enough for me?

Or am I missing something?
