Read a blog about 48fps the other day, it gives the image too much clarity and the viewer can spot all the flaws in the set, costume, makeup and lighting. A similar thing happened to some shows when they started filming in 1080p and it's why movie and tv producers are concerned about 4k & 8k screens.

A common solution to 1080p naffness is to make the scene darker, it hides flaws and focuses the viewers eye but that can also piss people off.

Curious to see the first 8k, 48fps movie, the budget is going to be insane :)
